Hi, I'm Liz, the founder of Everpurse.

Let me tell you my story.

Everpurse began a few years ago as a personal project. Back then, I was working as a social worker in Chicago, traveling all over the city meeting with clients, constantly on the go. I never remembered to charge my phone, so by the end of the day, I would be completely out of battery.

I have always loved tech and thought it would be so cool if I could charge my phone inside my purse - then I would never have to think about charging again! After months of searching, visiting dozens of stores, I realized that if I wanted a bag that combined fashion and function, one that would charge my phone on the go, I would have to make it myself.

For the next few months, at night and on the weekends, I worked on perfecting the technology. My husband and co-founder Dan worked with me to customize the components so that the entire experience would be seamless - no wires or buttons - nothing that would detract from the look and feel of the bag.

As I kept working out all the tiny details of my phone charging bag, friends began asking to borrow the bag when we went out so they wouldn't run out of battery. Pretty soon I was getting requests to integrate technology into their favorite bags. That's when I realized I had found a solution that could be helpful to lots of women. We decided to use Kickstarter to test out this theory and in 2012 announced the very first iPhone charging bag, helping to kick off the fashion-tech revolution! 

Over the next year, we worked to perfect our technology and develop the methodology for installing electronics into handbags. The Everpurse team built the first 3,000 units by hand, in our office in Chicago and shipped them to 50 countries around the world.

My vision has always been to partner with amazing designers so that we can offer our powerful technology together with beautiful fashion. For our first production run, Everpurse partnered with a few small handbag designers and integrated our iPhone charging tech into their bags.

From the beginning, Everpurse has been focused on creating products that fit with our lifestyle and the way we use our accessories. We believe in creating products that are a natural fit, that don't require us to create new habits.

That's why we made charging as easy as sliding your iPhone into the charging Smart Pocket. At night when you get home, just place your bag on the charging mat. In the morning your bag will be fully charged and ready to go. With Everpurse you'll never need to think about charging again!

In 2015 we continued to partner with amazing fashion brands by launching a collaboration with global fashion brand Kate Spade New York. We love their playful style and colorful life. They are the perfect fashion partner for the girl on the go, and one of my personal favorite brands. 

This year we produced another two collections with Kate Spade, introducing new colors and styles. We've also been working hard on developing new tech and brand collaborations for next year, continuing to make products that combine fashion and function, technology with the brands you love. We can't wait to show you what we have in store!
